The summertime offers many of us greater flexibility to get outside and experience some of nature’s wonders. We look forward to welcoming nature seekers of all ages in one or more of this summer’s programs!

Nature Wanders ages 6-10
Join Evan Albright and Sam McRee for a week of adventure and connection with our native roots. We will explore many of San Luis Obispo County’s natural habitats and learn the ways of native peoples from around the world. Students will experience hands-on activities, games, heightened awareness, and a stronger connection to the natural world. Activities include games, shelter, fire by friction, wild edible and poisonous plants, survival and naturalist skills, and animal tracking.

Blue Belly Lizards ages 9-14
Do you want to wander through the endless wonders of Los Osos Oaks, rolling sand dunes and hills covered in sage? Playing games and learning natural history, skills and life lessons? Well come along with Sam then, because some of our favorite animals have left some tracks to guide the way. Blue Belly Lizards camp aims to take participants on an adventure into the mysteries and fun of the natural world. Come and see what the land has in store for us!

Beach Camp ages 6-12
Spend a week with the goofiest and most fun camp leader in town – Laura Albers! At Beach Camp, we spend mornings immersed in art projects, mid-days learning oceanography lessons from each other, and afternoons playing in the sand and salt water. We focus on learning about our world and respecting it in all that we do – including daily beach clean ups! This camp is back by popular demand – always a kid’s favorite!

Dates: Session 1: June 27 – July 1, Session 2: July 5 – July 8 (4 day week, fee is $200)

We have added 4 spots during Beach Camp for the little ones to join us in the morning. 3-6 year olds can now register for any week of Beach Camp. Coyote Pups hours are from 9am – noon. Cost is $150 for 5 days or $35 per day. Please make note of COYOTE PUPS program on registration form. Contact us for more information.

Session 3: July 18 – July 22
This session has been changed to focus on Coyote Pups! 6 campers are welcome each day of this week. You may register for 1-5 days, cost is $35/day or $150 for the week. Hours are 9am – noon, location is Avila Beach. Contact us for more information.

Sewing for Serious(ly Fun) Kids (Ages: 9 – 90)
Create something uniquely new from previously worn garments.
