WHITTLING AND SPOON CARVING WORKSHOP

Bring a sack lunch.
Bring a sharp fixed blade carving knife. (Knives will be available for purchase.)

Optional: Sharp hatchet or machete

Learn the skills required to carve and shape a wooden spoon using a machete or hatchet to rough out a shape and a knife to refine your spoon. Locally sourced green materials will be used, and you will learn basics of material selection, whittling, shaping, hollowing the spoon, and finishing.

Those who took Burn Bowls on Saturday may continue their bowls on Sunday. However, students taking only Sunday’s Whittling and Carving workshop may not begin a bowl.
