Community Nature Day

  • Los Osos Oaks Los Osos (map)

Engage in the Playful Core Routines of Nature Connection, Games, Stories, and Challenges!

Suggested donation $25 per person/$70 per family (up to four people)

Over the years, we have heard parents say wistfully: "I want to come out in nature with you all, too!" So, at the start of this new program year with the young ones, we wanted to provide opportunities for parents and families to do just that...come out for a day in nature, too!

Outside Now has had many vibrant mentors over the years. Some leave to pursue life elsewhere and return periodically, bringing back to our learning community the knowledge and skills they've acquired along the way. Sam Mcree is one of these treasured mentors who came back to share this summer season with us and soon will leave again for a year of world travels with his partner, Jess Jelinski, who also joined in as mentor for O.N. summer camps this year. Before departing, Sam and Jess offered to guide a couple of rich days in nature for a group of O.N. families! Yay!

Participants need to

  • Come dressed to fully engage with nature (translation: Be prepared to move over uneven ground and get dirty!)

  • Wear sunscreen and a sun hat.

  • Bring plenty of water (at least a 32 ounce bottle) and sack lunch/snacks.

  • Be sure that children ages 6 and under come with an adult.

Click on the link below to let Sam and Jess know how many spaces you would like to reserve for one or both of these energetic community fun days. Sam and Jess will collect suggested donations the day of the event.

Limited to 18.

Hope to see you soon at Los Osos Oaks!
